COURSE OBJECTIVES

  

This course is recognized for business school students who wanted an in-depth look at how today business firms uses information technologies and systems to achieve corporate objectives. Information systems are one of the majors tools available to business managers for achieving operational excellence, developing new products and services, improving decision making, and achieving competitive advantage. The course covers essential concepts such as using information technology to engage in electronic commerce, and information resources such as database management systems, information security, ethical implications of information technology and decision support systems with projects to challenge users at all levels of competence.

There are two primary course objectives:

i. How organizations can use technology to achieving operational excellence, developing new products and services, improving decision making, and achieving competitive advantage.

ii. How to use basic information system as an accounting, finance, management, operations management, marketing.

Course Packet (required): Syllabus; Class Notes; Assignment of all Chapters

  

Note: Assignment of all Chapters will be sent to monitor by email, then hand in an assignment of every Chapter after finishing studying the Chapter.
